A suggestion, after listening to the recording, would be to have Jeff (I assume that's him I hear) play a concert D at the end (9th of the chord) instead of a concert E. Reasoning would be the prominant suspended 2nd in the trombones (or 9th depending on how one looks at it). It would be nice to hear a screamer come in on the 9th a bar or so after the trombones present their note. Just a suggestion. I've listened to too much drum corps in the past I suppose =)
