There are some amazing pictures here of the valley as we climb out. We had to wait until 1pm for the low fog to burn off before we could depart.

These pictures were taken on a trip to Grant's Pass, OR from San Martin, CA. We flew up in the afternoon and stayed overnight in Oregon before returning home the following afternoon.

Dan,
Just for your info,on your Grants Pass flight, the "cool rock formation in the Siskiyous is named Castle Crags and the cinder cone along I-5 just before Weed is called Black Butte. I live 30 Mi. outside of Redding and just thought you'd want to know the names so you can point them out to your passengers next time! I used to fly between Redding and Klamath Falls in Oregon. Learned how to fly at Benton Airpark in Redding (aka: the aircraft carrier) But alas, I haven't flown in years due to the ex-hubby getting the plane in the divorce. oh well, I can live vicariously thru others. Keep Flying!

Nice pictures. I have flown around Travis many times, but I have never seen it from above.
